Drive for a Difference

Fred Anderson Subaru is honored to host our annual charity campaign, DRIVE FOR A DIFFERENCE, a program that has been at the heart of our community since 2021. Since its inception Fred Anderson's DRIVE FOR A DIFFERENCE has allowed us to give back to the communities that have supported us for so many years, fostering a deep relationship with our dealership and the communities we serve.

Fred Anderson Subaru has had a long-standing tradition of supporting charitable organizations, and DRIVE FOR A DIFFERENCE has become a key part of that legacy. Through DRIVE FOR A DIFFERENCE, we contribute $5000 each month to local charities with our employees and customers playing an active role in selecting the recipients. This program is a reflection of our commitment to making a meaningful impact in our community year after year.

We proudly partner with several impactful organizations in our community:

Asheville Humane Society: The Asheville Humane Society has been dedicated to ensuring every animal has the quality of life they deserve-a life worth living. By building a supportive community, AHS strives to create a compassionate environment where both animals and humans can thrive. Through holistic programs, they are leading the way toward a more humane world, making a positive impact on pets and their families.

Black Mountain Home: Provides safe, supportive homes for children and youth in need of out-of-home placement, from infants born prematurely to young adults pursuing education or career goals. Programs include community-based foster care, campus-based cottage care in Black Mountain and Pisgah Forest, an Independent Living Program for older youth, and Lifelong Living support for those with developmental disabilities transitioning into adulthood. Foster families are always needed.

Irene Wortham Center: Irene Wortham Center has helped empower children and adults with developmental or socioeconomic challenges to lead healthy, happy, more independent lives since 1961.

Warrior Canine Connection: Warrior Canine Connection enlists recovering Warriors in a therapeutic mission of learning to train service dogs for their fellow Veterans. They utilize a Mission Based Trauma Recovery (MBTR) model to help recovering Warriors reconnect with life, their families, their communities, and each other.

Western Carolina Rescue Mission: The Western Carolina Rescue Mission has served the community of Western North Carolina since 1981, helping individuals overcome poverty, homelessness, and addiction. The organization provides food, shelter, and a one-year residential recovery program offering freedom from addiction. Its mission is grounded in Rescue, Recovery, and Restoration, meeting people in crisis, with a specific focus on women and children, caring for them with dignity, and restoring them to healthy, productive lives.

At Fred Anderson Subaru, our motto is "Driven to Lead," and we are proud to lead by example in charitable giving. Through Drive for a Difference, we bring our team and community together for a common goal: to create lasting change. One Team - Driven to Make a Difference.
