Everyone that is familiar with Subaru vehicles knows that with proper service these little cars will last a VERY long time!  We will use this page to highlight some of our highest mileage customers.  If you have a Subaru with high mileage, please feel free to contact us and we will get  your story posted on this page. 

 We recently received the following letter:

I've been a happy Subaru customer since 1980 when I bought my first one new.  I drove it for 288,000 miles and traded it in for another Subaru which I drove for over 200,000 miles (it was totalled when a car ran a stop sign and hit me broadside.)

 

I bought my third Subaru in 1994 and have driven it for over 400,000 miles.  I have been in 2 serious accidents in these cars and only suffered very minor injuries.  I drive throughout the mountains for my job often late at night and have complete faith in their reliability.  With minimal maintenance I have exceeded 32 miles per gallon in these Legacies and never had to replace an engine.  I remain a happy Subaru owner.

This is Bernie.  He and his Outback have driven over 351,000 miles as of July 2009.

 
Update: - This car now has nearly 390,000 miles as of June 2010.

That's right!  Over 400,000 miles on a Subaru Outback!  Way to go!  We're just seeing how long it takes before he hits 1/2 a million!
